For best use of 3MotionAI technology, the following video capture parameters are recommended:
Lighting: Good quality lighting is critical for use of the 3MotionAI computer vision technology. Ensure adequate lighting throughout all trials.
Clothing: While clothing should be appropriate and relevant for the recorded task, high contrast colours are ideal for video recording. Avoid dark clothing paired with a dark background, as this can make joint detection a challenge.
Video frame: Ensure the subject remains fully within the video frame for the duration of all trials. Record some test trials to ensure that hands and feet stay within the video frame.
Video duration: Videos recorded through the App have a duration limit of 60 seconds. While there is no specific limit for video duration in the web portal, please note that longer videos will result in a proportionally longer processing time.
For externally recorded video, the following additional capture parameters must also be considered:
Video format: The 3MotionAI technology currently accepts .mov, .avi, .mp4 and .m4v video data formats.
File size: Generally, we expect videos less than 200 MB in file size. If you expect to upload videos exceeding this size, please contact our support team to accommodate your uploads.
Frame rate: A standard 30 Hz (frames per second) frame rate is acceptable.
