Organizations are the foundational unit in 3MotionAI. Every user, license, and configuration belongs to an organization.
What are organizations?
Organizations represent your clients, departments, or teams. They are the top-level container for all 3MotionAI resources. Each organization has its own users, licenses, feature configuration, branding, and billing. Organizations can also have child organizations (sub-orgs) for multi-site or departmental structures.
How to get started
Setting up your first organization takes just a few steps:
Click "Create Organization" and fill in the basic details: name, display name, type, and start date.
Configure branding settings like logo, colors, and report header style in the Configuration page.
Invite team members by navigating to the Users page and sending email invitations.
Purchase and assign licenses so your team can perform assessments.
Key concepts
Understanding these concepts will help you manage organizations effectively:
Organization hierarchy: Create parent-child relationships to model multi-site deployments. Child orgs inherit configuration and features from their parent unless explicitly overridden.
Organization status: Organizations move through lifecycle states (Active, Trial, Suspended, Expired, Deactivated). Each status affects what users can do.
Health score: A composite metric (0-100) that reflects user engagement, license utilization, and assessment activity. Monitor it to identify organizations that need attention.
Slugs: Each organization gets a unique URL-safe identifier used in API calls and deep links.
Common questions
Answers to frequently asked questions about organizations:
Can I rename an organization? Yes, both the internal name and display name can be updated at any time from the Edit page.
What happens when I deactivate an organization? All users lose access immediately, but data is preserved. You can reactivate at any time.
How many sub-organizations can I create? This depends on your plan. Check your plan limits on the Billing page.
Can I move an organization under a different parent? Not directly in the UI yet. Contact support for hierarchy restructuring.
